In the suburbs of Salt Lake City is this architectural marvel, the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. This LDS (Mormon) temple, sets atop of hill, overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. This shot was taken as a thick band of winter fog rolled through the area, creating a gentle mist in each image. As quickly as the fog bank arrived, it dissipated. As part of the temple's landscape, a fountain runs year-round prominently in front.
"The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple was built on a bluff on the edge of the Daybreak Community; the property was donated to the church by Kennecott Land, a portion of a company that mines copper and precious minerals from the Oquirrh Mountains, just a few miles west of the temple.
