Shaded light reflecting off sandstone shows a variety of color, exuding a beautiful desert rainbow! I captured this shot late in the day, under sunset light. I could see the purple, red, orange, and yellow hues with the naked eye --- obviously exaggerated with this artistic composition.
Capturing the shot was difficult, as onlookers, who I believe were attracted by my tripod, followed me to this spot, and continued to walk through the composition. I patiently waited, asking each of them to *NOT* step in the sand. I shook my head as one stepped right in the middle of it. Several critical minutes passed, under beautiful light, until I snagged this one!
