Sunset of over the summer/fall tundra of Denali State Park in central Alaska. The state park is located to the south and adjacent to the Denali National Park. Captured while driving south from Cantwell along George Parks Highway. The clouds had been out most of the day (can you say overcast?), so this shot was lucky, in that the sun shone just for a moment, and at the opportune time to colorize the scenery. Although technically shot during summer, "fall" comes early in Alaska, so leaves were engaged fully in color change! It is very difficult to find the "right" shot while here because of the vastness of the scenery all around you -- I found it extremely difficult to select a vantage point for each location!
