I planned a fall visit to the Smokies about a year in advance. Unfortunately fall came a little late during our visit, I was about a week too late. The trip was further hampered with rain showers. In fact flash floods were witnessed throughout the mountain range. As a result of the weather, I diverted my plan from capturing grand mountain views, to more localized scenes along the rivers. On a whim, the last stop on the trip was to this location, and I immediately fell in love.

Your gorgeous portrayal of the nation's national park treasures reminds me of the famous documentary film-maker, Ken Burns. He too did a superb job of documenting our national parks and sharing them on public television (PBS.) Thank you for celebrating such priceless treasures through your outstanding work, brother.
