The George Parks Highway connects two major cities through remote Alaska, extending from Anchorage to Fairbanks. This bridge is one of several vital links connecting the life of these two major metropolitan areas. The highway follows the Nenana River's path through most of this rugged terrain. About midway between Anchorage and Fairbanks lies the town of Healy. It is near Healy where this bridge is located, spanning across the Alaska Railroad and Nenana River, not too far from the entrance to Denali National Park. This view is a summer afternoon capture, facing south down along the GP Highway.
