Two-Month Exhibit By Utah Artist In Moab

MOAB, UT (August 7, 2015) – Bighorn Gallery at the Deadhorse Point State Park Visitor Center presents a compelling exhibit, Moments in Nature, by fine art wilderness photographer, Chad Dutson. The exhibit features both popular and unique perspectives of diverse landscapes discovered throughout the United States and Caribbean: desert, forest, and coastal scenes. The artwork will be on display September 2 – November 2, 2015 in the lower level of the Visitor Center. The show includes more than twenty-five images, some of them not yet published to the public. An open house reception will be announced later.

Dutson is a Utah-based wilderness photographer whose admiration for nature grows with each photographic adventure. He has spent all but three years of his life living in the West, providing him incredible opportunities to enhance his self-taught craft. Chad has an insatiable desire to wander the wild, seeking solitude and serenity away from the bustle of city life. His deep passion for photography pushes him to extremes to capture the right shot. After each excursion he shares his experience with others, yearning they may fall in love with nature as he has.

Dutson’s philosophizes that “quality photographic moments require three elements: the right experience, the right tools, and the right moment.” He admits “the right moment” is often nothing more than good luck. He boldly states, “Some say they lose themselves in one thing or another; however I find myself through photography, losing only the sense of time.”

Dutson has been published in the USA Today, Popular Photography, and recently was featured with an Editor’s Choice award by the prominent photographic website, 500px.com.
